Environment Art Outsource Supervisor
Gunfire Games is looking for an Environment Art Outsource Supervisor to help manage the environment art outsourcing pipeline. In this role you will work closely with internal art leads and external vendors, overseeing the production of timely and high-quality assets. You will be expected to clearly communicate direction, review work, and provide detailed feedback to outsourcing partners, ensuring all assets meet our quality and technical standards while maintaining artistic consistency. While this role will involve significant supervision and management of people and assets, the ideal candidate must also be a strong environment artist, with expertise in the style of horror/sci-fi fantasy realism.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Review art assets from outsource artists ensuring they meet Gunfire Games’ quality and technical standards and are consistent with the artistic vision of the project.
Provide clear, constructive and timely feedback to outsource partners/artists allowing them to effectively make revisions that improve asset quality.
Track the progress of assets, ensuring project deadlines will be met, and escalating potential risks for delay to Production and Management.
When needed, make edits to assets yourself
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience in environment art production or outsource management in the video game industry
MUST HAVE: A portfolio that demonstrates your expertise in horror/sci-fi fantasy realism, including assets you’ve created or assets you’ve supervised.
Strong modeling and texturing skills, and a fundamental understanding of artistic principles
Strong grasp of art pipeline
Proficiency in Unreal Engine, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance, and 3ds Max
Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple vendors simultaneously
Excellent communication skills: you must be able to clearly and effectively communicate actionable feedback
Must be physically in the US and legally able to work in the US without employer sponsorship for an indefinite period of time

Pay range: $70,000 - $100,000. Base pay offered will be based on candidate’s skills, experience, and other professional considerations.
